    HOUSE RULE Dear guests! The BodeBude should be a second home for you. You should feel good and be able to rest. We've put a lot of effort into setting it up and we hope you'll find everything you need. The following house rules are intended to help ensure a harmonious stay. We have also listed some rules that we hope you will understand. By treating the rooms properly, you will also help us in the future to offer you and other guests satisfactory premises. General If you miss anything in the facility or if you need help, turn to us with confidence. All things that are in the rooms, bungalows or in the garden, or belong to them, may and should be used by the guests.  Please be careful with the entire facility, the plantings and the inventory and treat everything with care. Please ensure that your fellow travelers also comply with our house rules kitchen Please handle the kitchen equipment and technical equipment with care. Since nobody is happy about a dirty kitchen, please only put crockery, pots and cutlery in the cupboards if they are clean and dry. Please do not place hot pots and other hot objects on the table or worktop without a coaster. Always use a cutting board as a base when cutting. Please leave the interior of the oven and microwave in a clean condition. damage No one intentionally breaks things, but breaking something can happen to anyone. BodeBude is not liable for loss or damage to vehicles parked or maneuvered on or in front of the property and their contents. Internet/Wi-Fi Our guests can use the Internet with their own WiFi-enabled device (notebook, PDA, smartphone, etc.) via the WiFi connection free of charge. You use the Internet at your own risk; BodeBude excludes any liability in connection with the guest's Internet use. For the use of Internet access via WLAN, the WLAN usage rules must also be observed. To the smokers Smoking in the house and in our rooms is strictly prohibited. Damage such as burn marks and holes in or on furniture, floors, bed linen, tablecloths, etc. means that we have to charge the guest for this at replacement value. We calculate upcoming cleaning costs (curtains, furniture, carpet, beds, etc.) due to the smell of smoke at 80 euros. If the room cannot be rented due to a strong smell of smoke despite cleaning, an additional night will be charged according to the price list. Weapons/explosives of any kind may not be brought onto the BodeBude property.  Arrival and departure Arrival is by arrangement. On the day of departure, we ask our guests to vacate the room/bungalow by 11 a.m. at the latest. By booking accommodation in the BodeBude, we assume that the house rules will be accepted.     Infos Registration: Upon arrival, you pay the visitor's tax due and receive a ticket booklet with an integrated registration form/guest card. This ticket booklet + the registration form/guest card is valid as a Harzer vacation ticket. With this you can use the public bus and tram lines in the Harz district as well as on selected lines in the Mansfeld-Südharz district and in the Goslar and Göttingen districts for free from registration until the day of departure. A bus stop is only about 100m away on the main road (Treseburg Wildstein). Timetables & information at www.hatix.info . There are also plenty of price advantages at participating attractions/providers. Wifi: The use of the Wifi is free of charge for our guests. (Gaeste_BodeBude, Password: harzreise) Check Out: You should hand over your room or bungalow by 10 a.m. Key: When you leave, when everything has already been paid for, you simply leave it on the outside of the door. Otherwise please give it to us personally. Pets: Are generally allowed with us. Please keep your dogs on a leash on the grounds of the BodeBude (cause of wild animals). The beds, chairs and sofas are taboo for the animals. If you need a blanket for your four-legged companion, we can help out. Smoking: All rooms in the BodeBude are non-smoking rooms. You are welcome to smoke in front of the house or in front of the bungalows. Please don't throw butts on the ground. Thanks! Breadroll service: From 8 a.m. we will hang the pre-ordered rolls on the doorknob at your desired time. Simply fill out the enclosed slip and put it in the mailbox (registration) labeled “Brötchenservice”. Or scan the adjacent QR code and order using the form on our homepage. Please pre-order by 7 p.m. at the latest. Beverages: In the pavilion you will find a refrigerator with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at reasonable prices. In the event of a major mishap, your liability insurance will report it for the sake of simplicity. In any case, talk to us. Shopping: You can do that in Blankenburg or in Thale. In about 20 minutes you are there by car. Gate: In the evening we close the gate at the entrance (cause of the wild boars).     BodeBude What is that? This is your base camp in the Harz, consisting of a main house with four studios and an apartment and then two detached bungalows/holiday homes. The BodeBude is located in Treseburg near Thale. The spacious grounds are very close to the Bode and are surrounded by trees. Here you can hear, feel and enjoy nature. The place is perfect for your activities in the Harz. On this and the following pages you will learn more about the facilities, the service and all the other things that await you here. Bun service You can order fresh rolls from us in the morning P Car parking spaces Guests can safely park their car with us on our fenced property. Several hikes can be started directly from here. One of the best hiking trails in Germany runs not far from the BodeBude - the Hexenstieg. The trail leads through the Bodetal from Treseburg to Thale, past the Rosstrappe, the Bodekessel and the Hexentanzplatz. With the tourist tax booklet you can use public transport in the district free of charge. So start your hike and come back by bus. It couldn't be better. Lines 557 or 256 currently run between Thale and Treseburg. With one click you can get to the timetable information (start/destination = Treseburg "Rübezahl"). The castle and the city center, with the many half-timbered houses and the impressive town hall, are absolutely worth seeing. The Baumkuchenhaus is right on the outskirts of Wernigerode. There is more information about this here: Wernigerode-Tourism.de Schlossbahn.de Harzer-Baumkuchen.de Blankenburg Blankenburg stands for: historic old town, Blankenburg Castle with its baroque and flowery castle gardens, the impressive castle ruins and Regenstein Fortress, as well as the sand caves, for culture and music in the Michaelstein Monastery and the great rock formations of the Teufelsmauer. Also impressive are the Liebfrauenkirche, the only four-towered Romanesque pillar basilica in Central Germany and the St. Martinskirche with its towers of different heights. In the Berend Lehmann Museum, visitors can learn more about the Jewish quarter and the almost 800-year history of the Jewish community in the former episcopal city. There is more information about this here: Halberstadt.de Cathedral & cathedral treasure Jewish quarter Berend Lehmann Museum Stolberg is a climatic health resort and historical European city and is also the birthplace of Thomas Müntzer. Martin Luther was also seen here and preached against the peasant revolt in 1525 in St. Martini Church. Stolberg Castle has been enthroned above the city since around 1200 and offers a great view over the roofs. Juliana von Stolberg and Wernigerode was born here in 1506. She spent the first 13 years of her life in the count's palace complex. She is the mother of William of Orange and is still revered as the ancestress of the Orange family. The Großer Auerberg (579 m) rises not far from Stolberg. On it is the 38 meter high lookout tower called Josephskreuz. It is the largest double iron cross in the world.     Current Current information about events & Festivals, traffic disruptions + all kinds of news about the BodeBude. 26.08.2024 Diversion / Traffic From June 20th, 2024 until December 20th, 2024, the OD Altenbrak will be completely closed. This means that access from the B81 via Altenbrak to Treseburg is not possible. There is a diversion via Wienrode. If you are arriving from Thale or Allrode, there is no diversion/closure. There is no closure in Treseburg (roundabout) - the town can be driven through. Construction work is still taking place in Treseburg and there may be short-term disruptions caused by construction vehicles or heavy goods transport. Altenbrak and the Bodetal trout farm Zordel can be reached from Treseburg. 26.07.2024 Bodetal hiking trail, hiking trails in the Harz, hiking trail between Rosstrappe and Bodetal Due to some storms and heavy rain, there are now an increasing number of fallen trees on the hiking trails. In some places, sections have been closed and diversions have been created. Visitors with bicycles who want to use the hiking trails will find conditions difficult. The "Schurre", the path between the Bodetal and the Roßtrappe, is now considered an "alpine via ferrata". You should have good footwear and be in good shape when climbing the Schurre. 26.08.2024 changed bus schedule between Thale and Blankenburg - stops in Treseburg and Altenbrak From June 20, 2024, a special timetable will apply and the line number will change from 557 (257) to 657. This line goes to Altenbrak (parking lot) and turns around there. The "Wildstein" stop will be served during the validity of the changed timetable. You can download this timetable here as a PDF .
